Tiny, Tiny Camera Fits On Your Fingertip

Though we never actually see them, the cameras in cell phones have to be quite tiny in order to tuck in next to all the other internal components of your phone. So it follows that the idea of a tiny camera, while novel, isn’t anything new. But this here MAME-CAM is the first bite-sized, standalone camera that I’ve seen, and it looks awesome, even if totally useless.
While the cell phone cam provides the convenience of having a camera at all times without having to drag along a bigger, heftier point-and-shoot, this tiny camera really doesn’t give you much of any conv enience. And you know the pictures taken from that nostril-sized sensor are going to be nothing more than absolutely terrible.
So why buy a micro-cam? Because it’s just awesome to whip out and show friends, that’s why. In an age where everyone has the latest cell phone and computer, it’s odd-ball gadgets like this that help earn you bragging rights among your posse. You’ll be able to shoot both 640 x 480 video and stills with the 11-gram, 2-MP cam.
You can find the MAME-CAM for from Thanko. [Crunchgear via Dvice ]
