Give ‘em the Boot: The Best Kicks in Miami Heat History
The Big Three have made the Miami Heat one of the most decorated teams on the footwear front. An abundance of star power has led to a plethora of PEs and sellout signatures. Before they battle the Spurs, we take a look back at some of the best kicks rocked by the Florida franchise prior to this star studded season.
Air Jordan 10 Harold Miner PE
Baby Jordan had the hops, the haircut, and the shoes. Harold Miner rocked the Air Jordan 10 with his #4 jersey in Miami and also had a PE made with his other number of trey-deuce.

Hermès Brings “A Man’s World” Exhibition to Miami

Last Friday evening, Hermès held one of it’s grandest exhibitions in the Moore Building of Miami’s Design District. We were honored to have been invited to experience the 11 interactive installations that awed audiences with the ability to connect to every piece of art around them.
The third of “A Man’s World” events (previously in Beijing and Paris), the theme of the night was “A Sporting Life” spearheaded by Hermès Men’s Artistic Director Véronique Nichanian and artist Leandro Erlich.
Aerial artists walked the high beams above the mirrored floors in the Spring 2013 collections where the audience checked in. A maze of interconnected mirrors that resembled a very elegant fun house was one of the highlights of the night while a set of identical twin models mimicked each others movements through imaginary mirrors. The idea of “trompe l’oeil” was seen throughout the sets, which created an interactive experience for all. Makeshift elevators housed models donned in Hermès collections before they walked around and paraded amongst the audience – wearing classic suits to scuba gear and baseball outfits. Models playing chess on vintage trunks and a motorcycle from their Yamaha collaboration from 2010 were flown in for this special night as well.
Many got to experience the quality of Hermes products first hand, with an installation of 36 identical suits in varying colors, a gym locker room with interactive displays and multiple signs of “please touch” on many of the displays. Guests also got to get their chance to take the experience home with them, with multiple chances for photo opportunities at the photo booth and a mirrored boxing ring. The use of electronic IDs allowed guests to roam about the installations recognized by ‘interactive mirrors’ before receiving an email to links featuring their personalized experience at the event with gifs, pictures and videos. More than just about viewing – it was about coupling fashion and experience; giving over 600 guests a way to experience the brand themselves in their own manner.

Air Jordan III (3) “Hot Nights In Miami” Customs by Ecentrik Artistry

Ecentrik is back at it again creating a great remix of the Air Jordan III‘s in a South Beach/ Miami Night style. This silhouette, in general, mixes very well together. The gray leather to start off is a great base to apply some graphics to bring it more to life. The pink outer sole, the jump man, and the laces have a bright glow to them. In other words, anyone would be able to spot these from a mile away. The tiffany blue on the tongue, inner sole, and heel clip just attracts the eye at an instant. One glance and you wont be able to resist buying a pair for yourself. Check out Ecentrik’s site to get your own pair. Many pairs are still available for purchase.

“Miami Heat” Nike LeBron XI (11)

The LeBron XI flood gates are officially open. You’ve already seen both the “Steel Carbon” sample pair on the Kings feet during practice along with a second pair we shared with you earlier. This time around, we have your first look at you guessed it, the “Miami Heat” Nike LeBron XI.
This latest Bron XI colorway sports a punchy red Armorposite plating with touches of black to complete the rest of the upper. With each pair of LeBron XI’s, we see just how different these are in comparison to previous signature models. Noticeably absent from this model, that was a key design aspect for the LeBron X model, is the small portion of the shoe that told a story about the particular colorway.
In any event, this is yet another of the five colorways that are expected to release this October. We’ve got a few pics to share with all you sneakerheads so you can further acclimate yourselves with whats to come. Check them out and let us know how you feel about the Nike LeBron XI line thus far.
