2013 Gumball 3000 – Koenigsegg in Sweden Tour Recap | Video
Peeling away from Copenhagen at high speed, participants of this year’s Gumball 3000 intercontinental rally made a brief detour at the port city of Angelhom on the west coast of Sweden. But it wasn’t a rest stop. Instead, drivers took the rare opportunity to check out the headquarters of Koenigsegg, one of the world’s foremost supercar manufacturer. Perhaps jaded by the parade of Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Koenigsegg, and McLaren, no everyone took notice at the procession till one – a 2009 Mercedes-Benz SLR Stirling Moss, rode through. With only 75 vehicles made, the Stirling Moss is one of the rarest and most expensive car today. So exclusive in fact, Kanye West purportedly had to borrow one during the 2011 Cannes Film Festival. New Balance 2013 Spring/Summer ML 574 “Camo Pack”
New Balance prepares for summer with its release of its “Camo Pack” of the ML 574. The updated 574 is available in three styles, including tonal grey with neon green accents, olive with orange accents, and the decidedly more subdued olive version with neutral accents and a understated outsole. The first two pair an upper made of suede and mesh panels with a chunky camo midsole, which produces a nice textural effect alongside the rugged outsole. Naturally, the bright colors help to take some of the edge off the military-inspired design of the shoes, but the third model means business with its camo pattern nested inside olive suede panels. ASOS BLACK x PUMA 2013 Spring/Summer Lookbook
ASOS BLACK and PUMA have teamed up once again for a new collection for Spring/Summer 2013. To show off the collection, ASOS recruited notable names from London’s underground creative scene including Tristan Richards (aka bPM), co-founder of the secret revolving party Boiler Room, illustrator Daniel David Freeman, and tattoo artist Caleb Kilby. Shot by Manchester-based documentary photographer Michael Mayren, the lookbook features the clean yet playful designs of the ASOS BLACK x PUMA collaboration which includes short and long sleeve shirts, polos, tees, sweaters, hoodies and a nice looking bomber jacket. The color palette is kept relatively neutral with occasional smatterings of bright color, a fitting look for British summers. To coincide with the lookbook, a special fanzine has been produced which features a scan-to-shop option allowing fans to scan their favorite looks and shop with ease. In addition to the unique feature, the fanzine will also showcase special projects by each of the creatives featured in the lookbook. A release is set for June 10 via ASOS.
