The most ambitious project up-to-date for musicians Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter, better known as the Daft Punk, Random Access Memories is a compilation of sounds from the past, inculcated with bits of acid funk, jazz fusion, and disco. Featuring collaborations by the French electronic music duo with Panda Bear, Julian Casablancas, Todd Edwards, DJ Falcon, Chilly Gonzales, Giorgio Moroder, Nile Rodgers, Paul Williams and Pharrell Williams, the album relies less on samplings but instead on sounds recorded live, thus a product unlike their previous three albums.
