With 2013 coming to an end, Nike is not quite finished with one of their signature quality basketball shoes and they saved this colorway for one of the last. Although we have seen plenty of Oregon gear this year, the Apple Green and Black colorway never gets old. A black hyperfuse upper is complemented by an Apple Green midsole as well as keeping the deep green on the tongue and streak pattern near the ankle insert. Bright yellow shines on the Nike Swoosh, heel tabs and inner lining and with black laces these are hard for any sneakerhead to pass on. With the beginning of the year, and the Rose Bowl, right around the corner what better way to celebrate than creating a new Nike sneaker for the game. The model used for the kicks this year is the CJ81 Trainer Max which is Lions receiver Calvin Johnson’s signature sneaker and although his alma mater of Georgia Tech is not in the Bowl Game, Stanford and Michigan St. will represent proudly. Back to the shoes, the white on the upper including the brethable toebox, heel and mesh foot insert are all icy while the red panels throughout the kicks have a Rose design inspired by the game. A Rose is also stamped on the heel of the kicks while the CJ81 branding on the tongue is red on the white background. Hints of green are spotted near the top lacing eyelets while this all sits on top of a mid air max bubble and a red outsole. These are available now at Nike online for 0(US).

While the concept of a surprise post-holiday gift for yourself might seem implausible, it’s entirely possible if that gift is an unexpected Air Jordan restock. One glance at the purple and green scalloped midsole should give away the model in question — namely, the Air Jordan 5 Retro “Grape” — which has landed with little fanfare at overseas Jordan Brand retailer Caliroots. Notwithstanding the exhausting glut of sneaker releases that made this holiday shopping season an especially hectic one, there’s always room for one of Tinker Hatfield’s most iconic Air Jordan silhouettes. The Air Jordan 5 Retro “Grape” is available now at Caliroots’ SIX FEET DOWN.

As we move into the next symbol of the Chinese zodiac with the close out of the year, Nike finishes strong with a new NIKEiD option drawn from Kobe’s special edition Christmas kick. While Kobe didn’t lace-up the shoe on Christmas day, the Shedding Skin design still made quite the splash this season taking the Black Mamba-inspired theme to new textured heights via an aggressive scale-like pattern. Now, in addition to all of your other custom designs added this year – including the Pit Viper, Chroma, and Blue Coral Snake – you can add the pattern to your own Kobe 8 iD, which will also run along the Swoosh and come with a matching lace-holder. The option will cost you an extra , but it’s obviously worth the cost. Check out more samples after the click to get your creative juices flowing and head to NIKEiD to design your own pair now.

Nearly 13 years later, Kobe Bryant‘s original (and most memorable) signature shoe, the adidas Crazy 1, is making a returning. Now known as the adidas Crazy 1 Retro, the futuristic design features a streamlined upper in Los Angeles Lakers inspired yellow. Three debossed bars and half-shell toe cap denote adidas, the shoe also includes a Torsion support beam around its midfoot. Black accents and a purple bar at the heel refer to the Lakers once again, this retro classic is available now at adidas flagship stores and select adidas retailers, such as KITH in New York City.
