Hypebeast x PUMA “The Dim Sum Project” Blaze of Glory Event Recap @ JUICE CWB
Last week marked the release of Hypebeast’s latest foray into the offline world with a collaborative pack of PUMA Blaze of Glorys inspired by an important cultural institution in Hong Kong, Dim Sum. Dubbed “The Dim Sum Project,” the inspirations were based on Har Gao (shrimp dumpling) and Siu Mai (pork dumpling) which are two dishes often served together. From a design perspective, the Blaze of Glory LTWT has established itself as a performance ready variation of the original Blaze of Glory and with the theme of Har Gao, it was best defined by a translucent upper over a tiger camo pattern beneath — a symbol to the Har Gao’s translucent wrapper. The Blaze of Glory OG Siu Mai on the other hand is a minimal affair that embodied high quality materials and finishes through a monochromatic upper inspired by the Siu Mai’s vibrant yellow wrapper. An event to mark the launch took place at JUICE Causeway Bay and would entail a full-on thematic display of the shoes, a dissected presentation of each respective shoe, the screening of a short video and of course plenty of Dim Sum.
CLOT Presents KAWS: DOWN TIME – Book Set and Signing Event at JUICE Hong Kong
In celebration of the publication of DOWN TIME, the hardcover book featuring artwork from KAWS’ 2012 exhibition of the same name at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, the Brooklyn-based artist partners with CLOT to release an exclusive KAWS: DOWN TIME tee, available in white, black, grey or red colorways. The tee will come bundled with the book as part of a set, retailing for HKD 0 and available for pre-order now at JUICE Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Taipei. PUMA Urban Art 2013 | Event Recap
Earlier this month, creative agency HUMAN assembled the sixth edition of the PUMA Urban Art exhibition, held at the Centro Cultural Recoleta in Buenos Aires and attended by crowds that numbered 30,000 strong. They enjoyed art exhibitions, concert performances, documentary screenings and live painting demonstrations. Featured artists included Tristan Eaton, the American street artist known for his early design work for Kidrobot, as well as Jim Phillips, the Californian-born graphic artist responsible for creating the screaming hand logo for Santa Cruz Skateboards. The festival’s focus on social networks took the form of PUMA TweetArt, a dynamic application which allowed users to draw on Twitter. The ten most retweeted works were exhibited at the festival. Event Reminder: Sneaker Con Chicago 5/11/2013
Sneaker Con will officially be kicking off their Summer 2013 tour tomorrow in Chicago. For all the Chi-Town sneakerheads who are looking to hit what will surely be one of the biggest Sneaker Con Chicago turn-outs ever, Sneak Con will be taking over the Broadway Armory Park in Chicago, IL. With all the new releases that have dropped since their last stop in the Windy City, this particular visit will surely have all the heat all you sneakerheads are looking for under one roof.

Red Bull – “Ride + Style 2013″ Event Recap | Video
Top urban riders and fixed gear freestyle riders from around the world converged in San Francisco for the third Ride + Style event by Red Bull. While we saw a brief recap of the spectacle by local videogapher, Ronnie Garcia, here is the official wrap up by Red Bull. Having access to all areas, the crew interviewed participating artists – RISK and Sam Flores – as well as chatting with Jason Clary (Track Race winner), Josh Boothby, Addison Zawada, Austin Horse, Miles Mathia, and Matt Reyes (Freestyle winner). Upcoming Event: Sneaker Freak Swap Meet June 2013
Scheduled for Saturday, June 1, 2013 in Columbia, SC, will be the Sneaker Freak Swap Meet presented by Sole Depot.
This Event will be a festival geared toward celebrating urban fashion in which all you sneakerheads will be able to buy, sell and trade your kicks, hats and other items of clothing & accessories.

Solemart Berlin 2013 | Event Recap
Now an integral part of sneaker culture in Europe, it is a bit difficult to believe that the first Solemart started just five years ago within the ballroom of Berlin’s Ellington Hotel. That inaugural event saw a turnout of a few hundred visitors, respectable though just a morsel when you compare to Solemart Berlin 2013 that took place over the weekend, where over 3000 attendees flocked to smart Center Berlin. With smart Car by BARBUS as the backdrop, all of the major brands from adidas, Nike, PUMA, to Reebok and Supra took part. In addition, plenty of notable collectors looking to unload some of their stash, customizers on hand to showcase their latest creations, and a few novices searching for a way to start their own collections. Certainly organizer Hikmet Sugoer, his boutique Solebox, and Solemart participants deserve congratulations for the event’s overwhelming success.
