British streetwear mainstay indscn enlists its team skateboarder Chris Parsons to front its 2013 fall/winter lookbook. Taking the brand’s hometown of Leeds as a backdrop, the lookbook shows Parsons modeling indcsn’s latest skate-inspired pieces, where compelling graphics and bold fonts takeover T-shirts, hoodies and pullovers, while a selection of button-up shirts and khaki pants offer more classic options. indcsn has also collaborated with Australian-based Windfall jewelry on a signet ring, extending its unique designs further into its accessories offerings. Italy’s Antony Morato for Fall/Winter 2013 delivers an extensive collection of menswear that reflects the brand’s dynamic composition and diversity in culture. These cultures speak through Antony Morato garments and help show a range of wears and styles. In this thematic look, we share five expressions that apply Morato’s Fall/Winter 2013 collection to various men of the world and show how easily they cross personalities and styles.
Featuring a wide range of blue dark colors, with little absinth-green glimpses and seductive dark prints. This snob and sophisticated look makes a broad use of iconic pieces, like tailcoats and tights, to be worn over floral or micro-pois-patterned shirts. Jacket reverses are enriched by such accessories as bow-ties, lacquered pins, and felt flowers.
The ’70s beat reporter is channeled in these modern looks that apply glen-plaid fabrics, pinstripes and brownish, mustard and ochre patterns on silhouettes that speak to the serious gentlemen.
The bright lights of Hollywood glamour are inspiration for these looks from Antony Morato. Special tribute is paid to “Technicolor Hollywood” through the use of asymmetrical buttoning, shiny canvases, metallic glows and profiled lurex bows.
Medieval costumes and the avant-garde provide the backdrop for Antony Morato’s slim-fitting silhouettes. Layering becomes important in the loops with light knits matching with short jackets and long sweats. Felt and boiled wool help work the cold winter months.
Postcard from Italy
Where “The Reporter” looked to the ’70s, “Postcards from Italy” looks further back to South Europe in the ’60s. Prints and graphics remind the age of Neorealism, adding a touch of nostalgia. The era was one of comfort and Antony Morato’s garments speak to the times: reversed jackets are roomy and comfortable, working well with long-sleeve shirts and quilted raw linens.

An update on a tradition more than 120 years old, Welsh knitwear label CORGI pleasantly surprised the fashion world with the preview of HOOD BY AIR x CORGI Collection earlier this summer. First conceptualized by the purchasing team from retail giant SELFRIDGES, CORGI’s Chris Jones, Lisa Wood, and their design team sat down with Shayne Oliver from HBA to ironed out all the details. The end result was a 10-piece capsule collection which made its debut in the midst of SELFRIDGES’ car park during London Collections: Men. Now, those same pieces will finally be available as SELFRIDGES exclusives for this holiday season.
In primary colors of black, white, navy, and burgundy, each of the knitwear is playful interpretation of school uniforms, club kids costumes, and surf culture. Described by Oliver as “what beach bums wear when the sun goes down”, HBA’s signature silhouettes of hockey jerseys, oversized tees, and sweatshirts with cutaway panelings are all quite apparent. But the constructs are distinctively those of CORGI.
Retails between £400 GBP to £675 GBP (or 5 USD to 95 USD), the very limited HOOD BY AIR x CORGI Collection for Fall/Winter 2013 is set to go on sale tomorrow at SELFRIDGES’ London flagship store.
