Shorthand among the Footpatrol staff to describe their unique West London neighborhood, the phrase “Only in Soho” has been co-opted as the name for the retailer’s Shadow 6000 collaboration with Saucony. The resulting design lives up to the unique character of the shop’s immediate surroundings, featuring a black suede base representing the foreboding dark underbelly of Soho. Bright blue suede overlays symbolize the region’s bright neon lights, while hits of red 3M on the lateral side and heel are stand-ins for the red lights that illuminate shop windows when darkness falls. A speckled midsole is reminiscent of Soho’s grimy side streets, while collaborative branding takes the form of a mashup Saucony and Footpatrol logo on the tongue. Custom “Only in Soho” sockliner finishes the look. The Footpatrol x Saucony “Only in Soho” Shadow 6000 is scheduled to launch instore and online starting Friday, May 3rd.
