With CP3 already laying claim to a dope Clippers-inspired colorway of the Air Jordan V, it looks like another Jordan Brand athlete will be following suit.
If you thought the Clippers colorway was dope, we’d like for you to feast your eyes on the ‘Melo’ Air Jordan V. Off rip, you sneakerheads will notice the eye catching orange suede upper with subtle hints of silver and blue. Color blocking aside, the connection between Melo and this pair of AJV’s comes full circle thanks to Anthonys #7 embroidery on the heel.
Could the folks over at Jordan Brand be planning to release both of these player-specific styles of the Air Jordan V in 2013? We are sure sneakerheads in NY and LA are definitely going to keep their fingers crossed and pray to the sneaker gods for a release date.

Looks like we have a correction to make in regards to the ‘Fire Red’ Air Jordan V 2013 Retro. New images have surfaced, and as you can see, the ’23′ has found its way onto the heel of this retro. Though the first catalog shots suggested otherwise, this detailed look at the retro confirms that Mike’s number will indeed show up on the heel area. Other than that, the Air Jordan V “Fire Red” will follow the same formula as all the other 2013 AJV releases meaning that it will also come complete with the icy blue sections on the bottom.
Now that we have an official look at the ‘Fire Red’ AJV’s, and see that they will indeed have MJ’s number on the heel, will you be copping these on August 31st?
