Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook have quickly become the go-to space for previewing new releases, and Omar Salazar took to one of them recently to reveal his new collaboration with Levis and Nike SB. The image reveal a quarter top Nike SB in black suede with the Levi’s logo in red on the heel. Info is slim on the details of the collaboration, but according to Omar, tomorrow should reveal a lot more.

Coming next month from Nike SB is the latest colorway of the Nike SB Omar Salazar LR.
Decked out in blue with a suede and canvas upper, the kicks come lined in black with black top eyelets and contrasting white accents on the leather Swoosh, tongue branding and rubber sole.
Cushioned with a drop-in Lunarlon midsole, look for this Drenched Blue/White-Black colorway of the Omar Salazar signature to hit retailers in July.

Selectism and photographer Ross Trevail visited London based designer Omar Kashoura to capture his workspace. I’m always a fan of studio visits – seeing where and how people work can tell alot about a person. Omar is set for big things, a graduate of the famous Central Saint Martins MA program, and having spent time at Unconditional and Preen.
London Designer Omar Kashoura has been on our radar for a while. Following on from a superb Autumn/Winter 2012 collection we headed over to his studio in East London for a nosey around. Originally from Leeds, Omar studied at the London College of Fashion. Following up with an MA at Central Saint Martins and stints at Unconditional and Preen, his own label is a mix of classic masculine dress and an elegant take on youth.

Nike SB has provided a glimpse into their upcoming drops for May, one of which includes this colorway of the Omar Salazar LR.
Featuring a Navy/Metallic Pewter colorway, the kicks couple a black canvas with navy suede and tonal stitching alongside a Metallic Pewter leather Swoosh, hits of red on the tongue and a white rubber cup sole that houses a drop-in Lunarlon midsole.
Look for these to hit Nike SB retailers next month.

Rounding out the most recent Nike SB drops available at Premier is the latest colorway of the Omar Salazar LR.
Cushioned with a drop-in Lunarlon midsole, the kicks rock a two-tone black upper alongside contrast stitching, white tongue branding, a vulcanized black rubber outsole and white foxing.
Retailing for , the kicks are available alongside the Birch/Noble Green Janoski and Black/Swan-Mint P-Rod 5 LR as a part of April’s drops from Nike SB.
Michael K. Williams, best known for his work as Omar on “The Wire” and Chalky White on “Boardwalk Empire” (and not to be confused with blogger Michael Williams of A Continuous Lean) has signed on to play Ol’ Dirty Bastard in the upcoming film Dirty White Boy. Entertainment Weekly reports that the Joaquín Baca-Asay-directed film will focus on the relationship between Ol’ Dirty Bastard and his manager, Jarred Weisfeld, during the last years of ODB’s life. It’s said that both Weisfeld and ODB’s mother, Cherry Jones, approve of the project. As do we.

Omar Kashoura went off schedule for Autumn/Winter 2012. Taking his collection to Kettners in Soho, he presented his Beat Generation inspired menswear with Allen Ginsberg’s ‘Howl’ in mind. Relaxed fit trousers, deconstructed knits, moleskin cottons and subtle prints came together in a laidback line-up.
“The Beat era helped develop the designer’s ideas into a simple, pure and understated look that reflects glimpses of the wearers mind, expressing their thoughts in a non-sensical way. Materials are soft, draped, and elegant and reflect a downtrodden natural worn look and given a subtle edge with graphic patterns”

Nike SB Omar Salazar LR ‘Purple Canvas’ – Fall 2012 © SneakerFiles
The Nike SB Omar Salazar LR is set to return this Fall with a new two-tone look.
The purple kicks sport a suede toebox alongside a canvas midfoot panel, while the heel features a dark grey suede. A grey Swoosh, white midsole and drop-in Lunarlon sockliner complete the shoe.
Look for this new two-tone purple and grey Omar Salazar signature to drop at Nike SB accounts in Fall 2012.
