New Jersey retailer Packer Shoes is showing their Boston pride by donating all proceeds from the sale of the New Balance “Boston Marathon” Pack to charity.
As media coverage of the unfortunate and tragic events from the Boston Marathon this past Monday have been nonstop, most can agree there are many in need of help and every effort counts. With that said, every sale of the commemorative New Balance 990 and New Balance 890 “Boston Marathon” models will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Dorchester, MA.
Beginning today at 3PM EST through Monday 4/22, both “Boston Marathon” models will be available for sale through Packer Shoes.
The tragedy in Boston has touched many lives throughout the nation. As a tribute to Martin Richard, the 8-year-old boy that lost his life during the explosion, and his sister, who was injured, Packer Shoes has decided to donate every cent made from their sale of the New Balance “Boston Marathon” Collection to the Boys and Girls Club of Dorchester, MA; the Richards’ hometown. This tribute will begin starting at 3PM EST today, April 18, and will continue through the end of the day on Monday, April 22. Packer wants to make it clear that this is simply a “labor of love which [they] hope will benefit and bring comfort to the families of this senseless act.” So, if you’re looking to pick up either pair from the Boston Marathon collection, head over to Packer Shoes starting today.
The East Coast has a history of fierce rivalries, but when tragedy strikes it always proves to be a close knit and compassionate community. Yankee Stadium recently played a sweet song tribute to the Red Sox and now New Jersey’s Packer Shoes are doing what they can to help out Beantown in the wake of the Marathon bombing tragedy.
Packer Shoes have announced that ALL proceeds from the sale of the New Balance Limited Edition Boston Marathon Collection will be donated to the Boys and Girls club of Dorchester. It’s a tribute to Dorchester residents the Richard family – their 8-year-old son tragically perished and their daughter was severely injured during the blast. The charity sale runs from 3PM EST Thursday April 18 until Monday, April 22 from Packer Shoes online.
