Despite proclamations that he would “never make tennis shoes,” Tom Ford has done exactly that, crafting a set of ultra-luxurious trainers to coincide with his Fall/Winter 2014 collection. Despite the casual silhouette, Ford stays true to his penchant for formal wear, dressing the sneakers in luxurious leather – polished over the course of three days – and velvet along with clean tonal colorways and subtle branding. Seen here in low-top form and also set to be available as a high-top, Ford’s sneakers will be available as early as June 2014 with prices starting at £420 GBP (approximately 0 USD).
Late last month we featured the Frank the Butcher x Reebok Insta Pump Fury collaboration sneaker. Released this past Saturday, it was one of the many Insta Pump Fury sneakers Reebok has in store for their 20th anniversary of the classic. While a handful of collaboration projects kicked off the celebration, Insta Pump Fury fans couldn’t wait to get their hands on the re-release of the original colorways. It looks like the folks up at Reebok heard their cries, and five classic colorways are expected to be release on Friday, March 14th. As of right now, only select Reebok retailers will carry the Reebok Insta Pump Fury OG Collection, so check back with Sneakerfiles for more updates.

The luxury mid-size sedan segment is about to get a bit more crowded as Jaguar has announced its upcoming XE. More than just a pretty face, the XE will feature an aluminum monocoque frame and will come with a range of engine options including one capable of propelling the car to a top speed in excess of 186 mph. No more details as yet but it looks like the Audi A4, BMW 3 series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class are going to have some competition next year.

Volvo is on course for a “transformation” in the coming year. With the preview of the Volvo Concept Estate automobile, the Swedish automaker shares bold changes in its fleet both inside and out. Volvo’s new design language is apparent in the interior changes that bring minimalism to the driver’s view: New touchscreen center console replaces a majority of in-dash buttons and controls and works seamlessly with Volvo’s new “adaptive digital display” in front of the driver. New material use throughout the driver’s side help accentuate forward design momentum from the automaker. The first production vehicle to adapt Volvo’s new design changes is the XC90 coming Fall 2014.
