It’s been awhile since we featured a Sekure D custom sneaker (the Nike Air Max 90 “Teal Night” to be exact). So today, here we have for you is Sekure D’s latest creation he named the custom Nike SB Dunk Low “On Safari”. While downplaying the Elephant print, Sekure decides to let the other animal prints outshine the one print that has been used more times than we can count in our heads. From the Zebra stripes, to the Cheetah print, to the Giraffe, he pretty much got most of the animal kingdom represented in this sneaker.
Now while this particular pair is a commissioned piece, you can hit up the man himself on his website and order a custom pair for yourself. Don’t forget to let us know what you think of these Dunk Lows.
The Tinker Hatfield-designed Nike Air Safari returns this spring in a duo of great colorways: black/sail and team red/sail. Both options feature mesh and suede with safari print panels on the toe box and heel. Contrasting white collars, Swooshes and soles finish the look for both pairs. You can find both now at select stockists including Coutie.
Steering away from the recently released Nike Air Safari “Monotone” Pack, Nike is giving us a little teaser for an upcoming pair of sneakers. The Nike Air Safari trades out it’s classic dotted pattern paneling for elephant along the toe and heel guard, with grey suede and mesh basing on the upper. Coming in a grey and soft blue color combo up top, a solar red is beaming on the bottom of the white soles to provide contrast. No official release date from Nike as of yet, but check back in with us for more updates!
Known for its dotted appearance and classic silhouette, the Nike Air Safari receives an unlikely makeover by swamping its namesake pattern for an elephant print. The equally-popular proprietary print shows on both the front toe bumper and heel guard, while mesh and suede materials complete its composition. Unfortunately, we can’t pinpoint its exact release, but word is the Nike Air Safari “Elephant” will be available at select NSW accounts sometime this summer.
Just as Nike own certain schemes, they have a stranglehold on a swag of textiles too. Two of which are safari print and elephant print. Now Nike aim to flip all our wigs by subbing out the Air Safari’s safari print for the iconic Air Jordan elephant pattern. Is ya head spinning? It’s gotta be said that these are two hot colourways also. Dayum, we want both! Don’t mind the brown suede joint, we’re not exactly sure what he’s doing in the pics… photo bombing perhaps? Stay tuned for release info as the suspected summer drop date approaches. Images via Lacebag
