The Dark Knight: 1/6th Scale Batmobile Collection
Jan 19th
Hot Toys has released images for a 1/6th Scale Batmobile Collection inspired by The Dark Knight. Unlike Frank Miller’s interpretation, Batman’s vehicle of choice takes on a more military/tank-inspired design which is reflected beautifully through spot on construction. While never once referred to as the “batmobile” in the first two films by Christopher Nolan, the name has become synonymous with the superhero. The 1/6th Scale Batmobile Collectible features an authentically detailed 1/6th scale model car, 12-inch collectible figure, headlights with light-up function, a cockpit/roof opening panel which slides up and down to allow the access of the 1/6th scale Batman and movable braking flaps. The collection in its entirety can be pre-ordered for 8 USD.

The Roots – Tip The Scale (Video)
Nov 9th
“Tip the Scale” is the second video from The Roots after they’ve promised a weekly unveiling of visual accompaniment for their upcoming release, undun. Directed by Clifton Bell, it tells the tale of a youngster as he navigates the pitfalls of his neighborhood. The Roots have offered additional information on the release of undun, saying, “undun is an existential re-telling of the short life of one Redford Stephens (1974-1999). Through the use of emotives and Redford’s internal dialogues the album seeks to illustrate the intersection of free will and prescribed destiny as it plays out ‘on the corner’. Utilizing a reverse narrative arc, the album begins as the listener finds Redford disoriented–postmortem–and attempting to make sense of his former life. As he moves through its pivotal moments he begins to deconstruct all that has led to his (and our own) coming undun.”
