Native Sons 2013 Spring/Summer “Sons of Glory” Collection
Japanese brand Native Sons is the brainchild of designers Shinzuki Takizawa and Tommy O’Gara, the pair to whom this project was born to last year. The brand has just released its second Spring/Summer collection, entitled “Sons of Glory.” A large part of the brand’s feel is rooted in its acknowledgement of the past– this can be evidenced from the name, antique-style silhouettes, and even the names of the models (eg: Salinger, Thompson, Kerouac). By using Type 2 metals and Type 4 plastics though– high-grade materials in their respective categories — the new Native Sons line is a contemporary take on a nod to history.
