Rally car driver Ken Block hasn’t needed the money since 2004. That was the year Quicksilver bought the footwear imprint he co-founded, DC Shoes, for Million. But instead of doing boring rich guy stuff like yoga on a private beach, the adrenaline junkie is still getting his fix, video taping himself driving his 650 hp Ford Fiesta — complete with huge, gold-plated handbrake — violently fast through a drift track strewn with deadly obstacles like spiked wrecking balls, Lamborghinis, and Segway-riding cops.
The result (above) is the sixth installment of his Gymkhana video series, which pulls double-duty as a promo for the new Need For Speed Rivalsvideo game, and even if all the info in the top paragraph didn’t get you excited, just know that it’s 6 minutes of a self-made millionaire from Long Beach almost killing himself and causing thousands of dollars of damage.
Need For Speed Rivals arrives on November 19th for PS4 and Xbox One. Pre-order here.

Recently named as Need For Speed: Rivals‘ Racing Advisor, Ken Block took to another obstacle course recently for the new Gymkhana SIX video. Similar to all of his other Gymkhana courses, including the death defying run last year at downtown San Francisco, this iteration showcases the precision of Block’s driving skill as he dashes through the ever more outrageous obstacles like drifting through shipping containers, passing under backhoes, circling around two moving Lamborghini Aventadors, and etc… There is even an actual spiked wrecking ball somewhere in the mix. (Take that, Miley Cyrus) All the while Block is getting familiar to the finite features of his new 2013 Ford Fiesta ST RX43 rally race car. Now, you can sit back and enjoy the heart-pounding drive, or be proactive about it and take on Block himself when Need For Speed: Rivals becomes available for Sony PlayStation 4 this Friday, November 15.

Everyone has dreams, some small, some big, but not all of us work towards making our dreams into reality. Tom Donhou of Donhou Bicycles dreamed of hitting the 100mph on his fixed gear bicycle. Of course, this is not an easy feat, but luckily, a wonderful team of friends and supporters lent their hand to assist his project. Anyone who has ridden a bicycle might be stunned to see the size of the absolutely huge custom made chain ring, a 104 tooth component made by Royce, which provide stability and rideability during high speeds. Check out the below short documentary on this stunning project, and yes, Donhou achieves his goal in the end.

Now that we have the full-length, Official Trailer for the new Need for Speed: Rivals, it’s okay to say that Electronic Arts was being a bit of a tease when they only gave us a small tidbit a few weeks back. In the newest take on the on-going series, this NFS introduces a new level of realism and detail that will help you to either release that road rage that you bottle up during your daily commute as a Racer or exercise your inner-calling to stick it to the bad guy as a Cop. Racers can ride as lone wolves out for all the glory on the streets driving the fastest cars while Cops can utilize the whole police force to create some of the most epic chases ever seen. A new scoring system allows you to gamble your speed points in new ways, introducing both greater rewards and bigger risks while also allowing you to switch roles at anytime. Get your blood pumping with the full trailer after the click ahead of its release on November 19th for all consoles.
