In light of two Florida congressmen publicly questioning the legality of Jay-Z‘s recent trip to Cuba with wife Beyonce, the rapper has issued a rebuttal of sorts. Through a track entitled “Open Letter,” Jay-Z addresses the Cuba dustup (“Want to give me jail time and a fine? Fine, let me commit a real crime”), as well as his minority stake in the Brooklyn Nets organization, something he had to give up in order to pursue his entrée into the world of sports management. HOV raps, “I woulda moved the Nets to Brooklyn for free, except I made millions off you fucking dweebs. I still own the building, I’m still keeping my seats.” Produced by Timbaland and Swizz Beatz, the track can be heard in its entirety below.

It only took one colorway to make the Reebok Shaqnosis a classic back in 1995, but it looks like we’ll be treated to more in 2013. Swizz Beatz recently took to Instagram to share an upcoming Black/Silver-Red pair. Are you feeling this makeup?
It’s official – the Reebok Shaq Attaq and the Shaqnosis are making a comeback! Swizz Beatz has spilled the beans on Twitter, confirming that these two 90s heavyweights will be returning in their OG glory. Long-rumored, Swizz Beatz took to twitter tonight to announce that Shaquille O’Neal will be returning to Reebok alongside a retro release of the beloved Reebok Shaq Attaq.
Worn by Shaq in his 1992-1993 rookie season in Orlando on his way to averages of 23.4 points, 13.9 rebounds and 3.5 blocks per game, a field goal percentage of 56.2%, Rookie of the Year honors and a 20-win improvement for the Magic over the previous season, the kicks feature a leather, nylon and suede upper with Reebok’s patented PUMP system.
Seen here in the Orlando “Home” colorway, expect a release sometime in the next few months – likely in time for Spring 2013.

Now, the UK-founded, Massachusetts-headquartered footwear label presents its “Time Lapse” video with Swizzy. Set in Manhattan’s Times Square as a nod to the artist’s Big Apple roots, the piece focuses on the transformation of styles from the 1980s to present and sees the New York native in a slew of Reebok classics from the past 30 years.
A new clip featuring Swizz Beatz whips through 32 years of Reebok’s history from 1980 to 2012. The ‘Time Lapse’ visual shows Swizz changing wardrobe over 20 times and slipping into some of Reebok’s most popular sneaker creations, including Pumps and Questions. The video continues Swizz’s appearances in Reebok advertising since becoming Creative Director for the brand. He spoke with Sneaker Freaker last year about his new role last year, check out the interview here.
More court side action arises Swizz Beatz is spotted in the previously seen Reebok Twilight Zone Pump “Knicks” at Friday night’s NBA match-up between the Knicks and the Miami Heat.
As we first saw Swizz in the studio with these NYC-inspired kicks, does this second appearance hint at a possible future release?
