While the emergence of A$AP Rocky and A$AP Mob may trigger the image of an overnight success story, their journey began many years before they broke out to the mainstream. Blow Hip Hop TV followed the Harlem rapper and crew on tours, studio sessions, release parties, fashion shoots, video sets, and everywhere around the globe to compile enough footage to create this upcoming documentary titled, Suddenly. This documentary focuses on A$AP Rocky, a talented young rapper that is taking the music and fashion industry like a raging wild fire. Canadian menswear shop Nomad shows off a few Spring/Summer looks with its “Test the Waters” editorial video. Artfully shot and warmly reminiscent of ’90s music videos, the video welcomes several new brands to Nomad’s collection of offerings: Silent by Damir Doma, Mr. Start, Comme des Garçons Homme Plus, Robert Geller, and Barena Venezia. The short was directed by Paolo Azarraga and Liam MacRae, and the looks were modeled by Damien Kim.

Polish videographer Bartek Hlawka takes us through an exploration of time and space, to a period when 8-bit was the maximum resolution available. Hlawka’s celebration of technology past is delivered for Pixel Heaven 2013, a unique retrospective game conference held in Warsaw. Attendees will exchange stories, compete for high scores, and be treated to a live concert featuring some low-bit beats. From Mario to PacMan, floppy disks to pinball machines, this video utilizes a combination of throwback machines and stop-motion graphics to create a thoroughly pleasant nostalgic video.

Just as The Great Gatsby lands in theaters, Lana Del Rey presents the official visuals for her contribution to the highly-anticipated film’s soundtrack – “Young & Beautiful.” Directed by Chris Sweeney, the piece is marked by a vintage aesthetic and orchestral accompaniment that fits both the vibe put forth by the song, as well as the Golden Age of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s iconic novel. Baz Luhrmann’s adaptation of The Great Gatsby is now in theaters while the film’s official soundtrack can be picked up via iTunes.

It’s been a long wait for fans of the 2006 cult film Children of Men, but acclaimed director Alfonso Cuarón is finally set to debut his follow-up. The film is Gravity, starring George Clooney and Sandra Bullock as astronauts on a routine Space Shuttle mission. The newly released trailer sets up the plot: Clooney and Bullock are in the midst of a spacewalk 372 miles above earth when disaster strikes. The shuttle is destroyed, and the two astronauts are left stranded in the vast emptiness of space, tethered only to each other. As many were hoping, earlier today Pusha T liberated a visual interpretation to last month’s track release “Numbers On The Boards.” The G.O.O.D. Music artist takes his aggressive rap styling to the streets of Paris with an appropriately dark video, one that also features cameos from label head Kanye West and the newest member to Gucci Mane’s Brick Squad, Chief Keef. “Numbers On The Boards” will appear on Pusha’s forthcoming solo album My Name Is My Name, due out July 16.
