Although no official details are available, it appears as if this style adopts a summit white and grey colored Engineered Mesh upper white contrasts with black Swoosh branding and bold midsole. Most noticeably, these Kobe’s include 3M reflective accents across each heel counter.

As the world patiently awaits highly anticipated Nike Kobe VIII (8) colorways like this year’s “What The Kobe” offering, Nike Basketball has been busy cooking up other renditions of the popular signature model.
While recent weeks have brought us first looks at the unofficial “Green Glow/Yellow” and “Summit White/Teal-Yellow-Purple” mock-ups, a new Lakers “Home” edition Nike Kobe VIII (8) has just emerged. What would fit perfectly into Kobe Bryant’s sneaker rotation upon his return, these kicks feature a white Engineered Mesh upper along with the addition of yellow and purple accents. Complete with black Swoosh branding and a speckled midsole, this unreleased colorway displays some sort of pink hue to its tongue – an unusual finish if we may add.

As Nike continues to keep everyone on their toes, especially with the new “What The Kobe’s” that we got a first look at this week, the Kobe 8 will get another favorable colorway with the Pit Viper theme. The Kobe 8 has many different areas to customize and with these Nike took the Pit Viper overlay and made it “Mine Grey” as well as the outsole. The laces and Nike Swoosh along the side are both matching purple where as the red takes on some of the accents towards the back. Kobe’s signature and the midsole are both black with red speckle being featured on the midsole. There has not been a release date for the Nike Kobe VIII (8) “Mine Grey” for the states yet, but we will have that for you as soon as possible.
