Both Japanese watchmaker G-SHOCK and Rotterdam’s wildest concept store Gorilli are celebrating their 30th Anniversary (Gorilli’s actually kicks off January 1st, but still) and a collaboration: the Delfts Blauw Watch.
What is Delfts Blauw? It’s a flowery design style that the Dutch started using on their ceramics back in the 16th century. You’ll see these whimsical decorations peppered throughout the watch’s bracelet, as well as the watch’s tile packaging.
The Delfts Blauw Watch comes in three different packages:
The “White” Package: Gorilli x G-Shock watch with an unique Gorilli ‘Delfts blauw’ tile and Gorilli G-Shock Mixtape with exclusive tracks by some of the best dutch hip-hop artists.
The “Blue” Package: Everything from “White” plus a Gorilli Delfts Blauw T-shirt.
The “Silver” Package: Everything from “Blue”, plus a unique addition: the plastic clip on the wristband has been replaced by a hand made silver clip with an engraved OG Gorilli Logo.
The watch arrives on December 14th at the Gorilli Concept Store in Rotterdam and at OntFront in Amsterdam. If you’re partying in the USA, you can visit Gorilli’s webstore to get yours.

Part of the “Great Americans Series” Detroit’s Shinola design two limited edition offerings “created to honor iconic American innovators and industrial pioneers.” First up, a 500 run of watches based around the Brakeman style. Stainless steel cushion case, Super-LumiNova hands, a high-accuracy quartz Argonite 705 quartz movement and a Horween leather strap in chocolate brown with cream stitching. As always, assembled by hand in Detroit, the watch comes in a custom box with a certificate of authenticity, leather card wallet, leather carrying case and a leather-boundbook of photography from the Wrights’ private collection. If that’s not enough, 25 Wright Brothers Bicycles have been created using the 11-speed Runwell model, an American-made lugged steel frame in jet black with bamboo fenders and an old-fashioned headlamp. Purchase of either product comes with access to The Foundry, a private collectors club with a host of fancy pants benefits including previews and an annual tour of the Shinola Detroit factory. As the world continues its obsession with thin, air-like electronics, Piaget joins in on the design theme with a watch that takes prize of being the world’s thinnest mechanical. Measuring in at a razor thin 3.65mm, the Altiplano 38mm 900P watch snags the title from Jaeger-LeCoultre by a full .4mm. So, how did they pull it off? Well, the answer is literally right in front of you: the watch designers built the movement – all the gears and mechanisms that power the hands – directly into the watch’s body and utilized the available space to position the hands. So, not only is the watch thin, comfortable, and interesting to look at, it’s also a bit of technological marvel, produced with extreme levels of precision. Unfortunately, the price tag isn’t equally thin, coming in at a fat expected price of between ,000-,000 when it launches in the coming weeks.

Drawing inspiration for Issey Miyake’s “Pleats Please” Collection from nearly 20 years ago, Jasper Morrison launches the “Please” watch. The London-based industrial designer reimagines the Japanese designer’s unique fashion range with a shaded pattern that resembles Miyake’s pleated womenswear. Additional details include a band with a high-quality hairline finish, water resistant up to 50 meters, stainless steel casing, and a special packaging. The “Please” watch is available at select retailers around the globe in four differently colored polyurethane bands – black, grey, orange and green – as well as a grey or black stainless steel construction.
XLarge recently dropped their latest joint venture product with Casio G-Shock. Selecting the GD-100 watch as a base, designers at XLarge revamped the digital watch, adding their famous graphics on all sides of the timepiece. XLarge text logo is placed neatly under the G-Shock logo on the face, while the back casing is engraved with their classic gorilla logo. On the side of the wristband is a phrase that reads, Hardly Working, a theme from their current collection. This item is currently in stock at XLarge stores in Japan, calif, and ZOZOTOWN online shops.

Under a week ago we caught a glimpse of Drizzy’s new Jordan X OVO package as well as the word on his new contract with the JB, all that’s left to do now is stunt. With what looks to be an all-white outfit at his concert,in either Portland on the 3rd or Tacoma on the 4th, Drake pulled out the all white pair from the “OVO Stingray”pack to show off on-foot to the world. No word on if these or the other three pairs are planning to drop anytime soon, or at all, but until then let us know what you think in the comments section below and stay tuned to Sneakerfiles for celebrity sneakers and more!
Prior to the start of last night’s New York Knicks vs. Brooklyn Nets match-up, Carmelo was in the house for an exclusive Jordan Melo 1.5 #RiseToTheMoment to honor Carmelo Anthony and the sneaker that started it all for him, the Jordan Melo 1.5.
During this Jordan Brand event, Melo was spotted in front of the cameras holding his signature shoe which dons a “Knicks” colorway. A precious moment in itself, could this be the beginning of a triumphant return to center stage? Are these kicks coming sooner than expected?
As many of us are curious, we’ll definitely let you know when a release date is announced!
